The Team Hurricane Basketball Academy is holding its first Team Hurricane Holiday Camp next week. It will be held from Monday to Friday for boys and girls ages 7 to 18.

The camp will have two options. Firstly, a full day camp, from 8.30am to 4.30pm) that includes morning sessions held at Hurricane Preparatory Academy at 155 South Road, near John Smith’s Bay. This option will also include an afternoon Session held at Warwick Academy, from 1.30 to 4.30pm. Team Hurricane will provide a van service from Hurricane Preparatory Academy to Warwick Academy.

“The full day camp has a strong academic component,” Doug Reed, the founder, said. “After morning runs, camp attendees will be getting in up to two hours of academics from 9 to 11am. The afternoon session will feature Team Hurricane Basketball training.”

The other option is the half-day Option at Warwick Academy only.

“The Team Hurricane Holiday Camp serves as the charity’s efforts to extend its reach beyond basketball and into providing academic and extracurricular services for Bermuda’s youth,” Reed added. “Hurricane Prep is committed to serving students from all parishes in Bermuda.”

Applications are still being accepted for the Holiday Camp. For additional information contact Reed at hurricanehoops@outlook.com or call 504-1962.
