Shares of One Communications Ltd rose 6.1 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.

The telecommunications company gained 20 cents to close on $3.50 as 3,000 shares changed hands, bouncing back from their 7 per cent fall on Wednesday.

LOM Financial Ltd remained unchanged on $2.80 as 2,000 shares traded.

Among international companies, 23,190 shares of HSBC Holdings changed hands, as the bank closed unchanged on $8.20.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 2.75 points, or 0.13 per cent to close on 2,140.41.

Trading volume totalled 28,190 shares, while turnover was Bda$15,600 and US$190,158.

The BSX Insurance Index fell 5.84 points, or 0.36 per cent to close on 1,620.85.

On the New York Stock Exchange, the US-listed shares of Butterfield Bank gained 51 cents, or 1.53 per cent, to close on $33.84. The bank last traded on the BSX at $33.20.
