Shares of HSBC Holdings Ltd fell 65 cents, or 8.02 per cent, to $7.45 after 11,868 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

In New York, shares of Butterfield Bank were down 47 cents, or 1.64 per cent, at $28.14.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was unchanged at 1,915, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 14.4 points, or 0.84 per cent, at 1,732.21.
