Shares of Butterfield Bank improved by one cent to $27 after 3,824 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.

In New York, the bank’s shares were up 53 cents, or 1.96 per cent, at $27.55.

The Royal Gazette/BSX Index rose by 0.45 of a point, or 0.02 per cent, to 1,918.37, while the BSX Insurance Index was up 1.32 points, or 0.08 per cent, at 1,702.02.
