Shares of Butterfield Bank fell 60 cents, or 3.3 per cent, to $17.50 after 1,000 traded on The Royal Gazette/BSX Index.In New York, the bank’s shares were down 38 cents, or 2.16 per cent, at $17.21.On the local exchange there was also trading in 1,000 shares of Ascendant Group Limited, but with no change to the closing price of $30.25.The Royal Gazette/BSX Index was down 26.98 points, or 1.8 per cent, at 1,475.86, while the BSX Insurance Index was down 35.6 points, or 2.75 per cent, at 1,256.88.
