More than 33,000 LOM shares change hands

LOM Financial Ltd was unchanged at $2.77 on the trading of 33,400 shares in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading yesterday.The investment firm, which yesterday announced its board had authorised a share buyback of up to 500,000 shares in 2020, was the only company to trade as The Royal Gazette/BSX Index closed unchanged on 1,833.85.The Government of Bermuda’s 4.75 per cent Bermuda dollar bonds gained 64 cents, or 0.7 per cent, to close at $98.14 as 25 of the securities changed hands.The BSX Insurance Index gained 9.26 points, or 0.62 per cent, to close on 1,505.83.The US-listed shares of Butterfield Bank edged higher by four cents, or 0.15 per cent, to close at $26.36 on the New York Stock Exchange, as 449.753 shares were traded. The bank last traded on the BSX at $25.25.
