Start with the end in mind

Challenging choices: embrace the tough decisions

Decisions. The process of making decisions seems to be directly related to the degree of complexity of the challenge at hand and whether you have any prior experience or knowledge of the situation.

So many decisions we make each day are almost automatic as we have made so many of this type that the process has almost turned into a habit — think driving to work, getting your morning coffee, etc.

The new challenges require a whole different approach which involves research, analysis, the consideration of alternatives, and the assessment of all of the consequences of your action. These are the ones that test you and your commitment to the changes that may have to be made. This is truly a time when you “begin with the end in mind” and weigh all options carefully, thoroughly, and thoughtfully.

Each time you do this process you learn better decision making!

“You can live each day in a world filled with ‘problems’ or rise each morning and embrace a world filled with unseen solutions. The decision is yours ... Both worlds exist. The one you choose is the one you will create.” - Michael McMillan
