Firm offers worskshop for would-be lawyers

Want to be a lawyer? Cox Hallett Wilkinson's workshop could help you start out on that road

Law firm Cox Hallett Wilkinson is to hold a workshop for would-be lawyers.

Akilah Beckles, an associate in litigation, will cover writing a curriculum vitae and covering letters for law students and those interested in a legal career.

A spokeswoman for CHW said that anyone interested in applying for the firm’s $25,000 legal scholarship for this year should also attend the workshop.

The meeting will be followed by a wine tasting hosted by expert Kevin Rhyno of Burrows Lightbourn, when attendees will get the chance to talk to lawyers from across the firm.

The workshop will be held on Thursday, July 7, starting at 5.15pm at CHW’s offices on the ninth floor of Cumberland House, on Hamilton’s Victoria Street.

Anyone interested in attending should sign up through www.facebook.com/CHWBermuda or contact Karen Skiffington at kskiffington@chw.com.
