EY Partner Jessel Mendes has been honoured for his efforts organising the annual EY Bermuda Coastal Cleanup.

He plays a key role in organising the cleanup, which takes place on a designate Saturday. when volunteers remove litter and marine debris from beaches and surrounding waters all around the island.

The event is run in support of Keep Bermuda Beautiful. Volunteers are encouraged to create teams from their work and neighbourhoods to conquer suggested locations across Bermuda, categorise each piece of litter collected, and tally the data so that it can be submitted to the Ocean Conservancy’s headquarters in Washington, DC.

In appreciation of his efforts, Mr Mendes has been awarded a certificate of appreciation from the Keep Bermuda Beautiful organisation.
