Fireminds expanding

Fireminds, an international technology solutions company with headquarters in Bermuda, has expanded its IT team by 27 staff, with plans to add more staff in 2020.Fireminds’ parent company, ATN International, has merged its infrastructure and operations team into Fireminds, bringing the total to over 60 employees.The expanded IT team operates in several locations including Bermuda, Cayman, USVI, Guyana, Halifax, Atlanta, Boston, Miami, and Denver, enabling Fireminds to deliver on-site services to clients in those areas.“The expanded Fireminds team will continue to deliver world-class IT services to the Bermuda market through its exclusive partnership with One Communications,” said Fireminds chairman & ATN executive vice-president of operations, Brad Martin. “The larger team will allow Fireminds to offer an expanded portfolio of services to its customers, such as industry-leading security solutions.”Michael Branco, chief executive officer of Fireminds and ATN vice-president of I & O said adding the ATN I & O team to Fireminds will allow the company to offer a broader range of technologies to their customer base.“It also means that, with a larger team, Fireminds is becoming the provider of choice for larger companies looking for a similar-sized IT partner,” Mr Branco said. “Fireminds is the first IT company in Bermuda to achieve the SOC2 designation on its data centres and IT operations, which signals to the market that we follow strict controls in managing our IT delivery for the benefit of our customers.”A spokesman at the company said in the Bermuda market, Fireminds is now the largest and most experienced IT company.“Fireminds’ world-class team can handle small, medium, and enterprise customers,” said the spokesman. “Fireminds’ services are sold exclusively through its partner and sister company, One Communications.”Fireminds also added Ben Doyle to the board of directors. Mr Doyle is a 25-year veteran of the technology industry, who brings extensive IT, sales, and marketing experience to the board.“I’m excited to join the Fireminds board and drive forward our expansion strategy for the benefit of our customers,” said Mr Doyle ATN vice-president of IT. “Our customers and partners come first, and we continue to improve in service delivery and broaden our range of services to fuel innovation and growth for our customers.”Fireminds is majority-owned by ATN, a publicly listed private equity group based out of Boston with subsidiaries around the world and 32 years of operations.
