Two years after opening The Loren at Pink Beach in Bermuda, The Loren Hotel Group is expanding to the United States. Site work is under way for The Loren at Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas with a grand opening planned for the first quarter of 2022.A hotel spokesman said the city’s unique lifestyle quality, booming business and job growth, particularly in tech and media sectors, as well as the site’s natural surroundings, all served as important factors when strategically identifying the next development location for The Loren Hotel Group. The lakefront site, right on the shore of Lady Bird Lake — between the pedestrian path across historic Lamar Boulevard Bridge and Butler Park Pitch & Putt — is uniquely positioned to provide hotel guests and owners with easy access to downtown Austin, while enjoying views of the parkland to the east and west. There will also be a luxury spa, gym, swimming pool and retail offerings with a health and wellness theme.
