Raynor cleared of stabbing

A 23-year-old Pembroke resident has been cleared of stabbing a man during last year’s Non Mariner’s Race festivities.

Jahfari Raynor was found not guilty of wounding Rayheim Smith by a unanimous jury decision yesterday afternoon at Supreme Court.

Mr Raynor had always denied attacking Mr Smith with a blade while in the sea at Mangrove Bay on July 31, last year. After the verdict Mr Raynor was discharged and allowed to leave the court.
