Man charged with misleading investor

A man was charged in Magistrates’ Court with fraudulently causing someone to invest money.

Jonathan Ratteray, 32, of Smith’s, is alleged to have misled someone into investing $6,500 between November 1, 2018 and January 4 this year.

Mr Ratteray was not required to enter a plea when he appeared on Tuesday, because the case must be heard in the Supreme Court.

Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe released the defendant on $3,000 bail. The case was adjourned until May 1.
