A female fraudster has been targeting elderly residents by calling at their houses and pretending she needs to use the bathroom.

According to police, the woman then rummages through the home and looks for cash or goods.

She is said to have used other ruses including asking for a drink of water, claiming her cycle has broken and that she needs money for gas.

She is described as 5ft 3in, brown, with brownish green eyes and a prominent scar on her face and lips.
