Girl charged with Steede murder

A 15-year-old girl has been charged with murder in connection with the knife killing of a Bermudian teenager in England.

Nottinghamshire police said the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was the fifth person to be charged in the investigation into the killing of Lyrico Steede.

The girl was due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Mr Steede, 17, was stabbed in an attack in Stock Well, Bulwell, on February 13.

He died in hospital six days later.

Kasharn Campbell, 19, of no fixed address, and two 17-year-old boys, who also cannot be named for legal reasons, have been charged with murder and are to be tried on October 2.

A 17-year-old girl has also been charged with assisting

an offender and is to appear at Nottingham Youth Court on April 3.
