A 34-year-old man is in police custody after menacing residents of Cottage Hill Road, Hamilton Parish with a bladed article.

According to police, the incident was reported at 5.22pm on Saturday, with a tactical unit responding.

A house with the suspect inside was surrounded.

Police entered the residence, and the man was arrested at 8.10pm.

The matter is under investigation, and police apologised to residents for any disruption.
