Drugs, knife seized in football game arrest

A man was arrested and released on bail after a football game at Goose Gosling Field on Saturday night

A man caught with drugs and a bladed article after a football game on the grounds of the Bermuda Athletic Association on Saturday night was arrested and released on bail.

The 31-year-old male was arrested at about 11pm on Woodlands Road in Pembroke after police observed him acting suspiciously at Goose Gosling Field.

When police approached him, the man ran from a section of bleachers on to the road, where he was eventually apprehended.

He was later released on bail pending further inquiries. Police are calling on witnesses or anyone with relevant information to call the main police telephone number on 295-0011.
