Police investigate pay phone damage
A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of damaging a pay phone.
Police said they spotted the man acting suspiciously near the junction of Cedar Avenue and Victoria Street in Hamilton last night, at about 10.50pm.
They discovered the phone was damaged and a crowbar was found nearby.
The suspect, believed to be from Smithís, was arrested and remained in police custody pending further inquiries by the Criminal Investigation Department this morning.
