Man pronounced dead after North Shore crash
The island marked its third road fatality of the year yesterday.
A 51-year-old Pembroke man was pronounced dead at the hospital after he was seriously injured in a crash on Palmetto Road, Devonshire, near Dock Hill.
A single vehicle motorcycle crash was reported at 7.10am after a member of the public discovered an unconscious man in the trees off the roadside.
A police spokesman said the man may have crashed at about 3.40am.
The victim will not be identified until next of kin are informed.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
