Drink-driver banned for 18 months
A 41-year-old man was fined $1,000 and banned from the roads for 18 months after he admitted drink-driving yesterday.
Omar Young, from Devonshire, pleaded guilty to impaired driving in Magistrates’ Court. He was stopped by police riding his auxiliary cycle erratically on Middle Road, Paget, last June.
Police smelled alcohol on his breath and asked Young to take a breath test, but he refused.
