CedarBridge celebrates students

Rayquon Woodley-Smith and Tamia Place took home the titles of Mr and Miss CedarBridge at the weekend.They were among a field of 15 students at the annual pageant, which was held in the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts.The contest started in 1999 to provide pupils with an opportunity to develop etiquette as well as interpersonal and communications skills.Students of CedarBridge Academy’s graduating class compete in four categories — opening introductions, career wear, talent, and evening wear and questions.The winners act as ambassadors for the school for the rest of the academic year.Also among the contestants at the event on Saturday were Calai Pitt-Clarke, Kanzi Emery, Ka’Ri Richards, D’knori Hunt, Zayah Scott-Burgess, Atiya Furqan, Mezhyiah Lambert, Kelise Stewart, Makailah Nisbett, Maya Peart, Lejae Nisbett, Kyjah Simons and Mya Jones.
