Recycling bins available from Government
Recycling trash cans are set to go on sale, the public works ministry announced yesterday.
A ministry spokeswoman said the 140 litre “bins” for recyclable material cost $40 each and were limited to two per household.
She added that garbage cans, earlier put up for sale, had now all sold due to an “overwhelming public response”.
The bins can be bought at the public works ministry head office, which is on the third floor of the General Post Office building on Church Street, Hamilton, from Tuesday.
The plastic trash cans can then be collected from the waste education and enforcement office at the Tynes Bay Incinerator in Devonshire.
