Dear Sir,

On behalf of the Lions Clubs of Bermuda, I would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to the Bermuda public, who gave so generously to our White Cane Tag Day held on March 11 and 12.

Once again, we are so appreciative to the following:

Zoe from the Corporation of Hamilton, Chamber of Commerce and the LCCA.

To business owners and managers, who allowed us to tag from their premises: HSBC, Butterfield and Clarien banks, MarketPlace Stores, The Supermart, Lindo’s Group of Companies, Harrington Hundreds, Gorham’s Ltd, Arnold’s Group, Phoenix Stores and L’Oriental restaurant. To those who offered our tags to the community: the Royal Bermuda Regiment Junior Leaders, Bermuda Police Service Cadets, Kiwanis Club, The Orchid Charity Club, Sandys Community Centre, Summerhaven, Victor Scott Primary School counsellor and students, Dellwood Middle School family and friends, other students who volunteered their services, Warwick Academy Leo Club, Eastern Lions Lioness Club, Hamilton Lions Club and the Paget Lions Club members.

Through your generosity, we raised a total of $9,936.22. The money raised stays in Bermuda, as we continue to meet the demands for eye examinations and glasses for our children, adults and seniors.

Once again, thank you to all in Bermuda. Our motto: “We serve”.

Yours in Lionism,

DESSIE WALDRON

Zone chairwoman, Lions Clubs of Bermuda
