Dear Sir,

I would like to congratulate the efforts of Wendell Hollis and his family for creating a new website called Bringing Bermuda Back.

They have also cleaned a lot of Bermuda’s roadsides in an effort to ensure that they help in bringing Bermuda back.

I hope every Bermudian will visit this website to place photos of their individual and group efforts on cleaning their neighbourhoods and roadsides.

Bermuda is broke. The Government is doing the best it can with very limited resources. So we need to all pull together to clean our island home.

I wonder if the courts could bring in a community service initiative for some offenders who could be ordered to give a number of hours back to their community by cleaning the roadside, removing litter, etc. This would help the Government in its efforts to get our roadsides cleared of unsightly weeds, etc.

The Bermuda Tourism Authority is doing a great job in increasing our visitor arrivals, but we need to have an island that shows that we care for our environment. My wife and I often walk the railway trails, which are just great, but unfortunately, they are in dire need of attention.

Could the hustle truck be used together with the community service offenders to work to help restore these wonderful trails that benefit both local and tourist alike?

So Bermuda, let’s all bring Bermuda back.
