Racism never viewed as ‘corruption’

Commission of Inquiry: Derrick Burgess (Photograph by Akil Simmons)

Dear Sir,

The unfortunate problem for the former minister Derrick Burgess is that the evils of racism, despite the damage it did and continues to do to the entire black community is not, and never has been, seen as “corruption”.

On the contrary, it is, and always has been, seen as acceptable by both blacks and whites. After all, it is the very foundation on which our society is built.
