Dear Sir,

After reading the letter from “Lizzie”, I have to say she has seen what I have often seen on the road: a careless female driving while on a mobile phone, and liable to be a risk to herself and others.

Not only does Lizzie state the colour of the car, but part of the number, plus the action that person has committed — while going past a police car, the female behind her suddenly didn’t have her phone to her ear, and then it reappeared.

Something else shocked me: sometimes the driver was driving without both hands on the wheel? That’s definitely dangerous.

It is to be hoped that the police can pinpoint who this reckless driver is. But more than a message needs to be put out there to warn against this female and others.

Yes, there are often mishaps on motorbikes, but not all recklessness on the roads is caused by males — and not all incidents are the result of driving under the influence.
