Thanks so much for your generosity, Bermuda

Governor John Rankin takes part in the Lions Club tag day

Dear Sir,

As the zone chairperson of the Lions Clubs of Bermuda, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Bermudian public who gave so generously to our recent White Cane tag days held on Friday, March 10 and Saturday, March 11, 2017.

A heartfelt thanks to The Corporation of Hamilton for giving us permission, Chamber of Commerce, LCCA and to those who delivered the buckets and baskets to the vendors.

Plus, the business owners/managers, who allowed us to tag from their premises, namely Marketplace Stores, Phoenix Stores, Lindo’s, Arnold’s, Supermart, King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, Harrington Hundreds, Port Royal Esso Service Station and Gorham’s.

Also a heartfelt “thank you” to those who assisted us with our tag days, Raymond Simmons, Sidney Simmons, Hamilton Rotarians, Orchid Charity, Summerhaven, Bermuda Police Cadets, Royal Bermuda Regiment Junior Leaders, the Nineteenth Bermuda Cub Scouts, the First Bermuda Explorers, St Paul’s Anglican Church, Girl’s Brigade, school students and their teachers, individuals and family members, friends and the Lion members, who offered our tags to the public — and to the public for responding so generously.

Through your generosity we were blessed with a total of $7,805.99.

Our Motto is “We Serve”, as we continue to meet the request to assist children, seniors, and those in need of eye exams and glasses.

Bermuda we are blessed.

Once again thank you to all in Bermuda.

DESSIE WALDRON, Zone Chairperson, Lions Clubs of Bermuda
