Walking through Hamilton not what it used to be

Crossing is dangerous outside the Blue Waters Anglers Club

Dear Sir,

My wife and I have been visitors annually to Bermuda for the past 38 years.

Needless to say, we love Bermuda and Bermudians.

However, one thing that has noticeably changed over the years is speeding, as it has in the United States. I recall when the speed limit was 35km/h ... is it still? If not, it should be.

We walk daily into Hamilton, and crossing streets can be dangerous, especially where the Blue Waters Anglers Club is.

Sidewalks are quite narrow there and often people will park their cars in front of those buildings on the sidewalk, forcing pedestrians into traffic.

Food for thought.
