Dear Sir,

You hear about all the crashes and deaths on the road, but my issue is that you never hear why the crash occurred — speeding, driving while drunk, texting or on your phone.

So instead of updating us on how they are doing, how about you let us know why it happened? And I do believe that it is usually the bike riders’ fault.

For example, today (December 7) on Par-la-Ville Road right outside The Royal Gazette Ltd, two Berkeley students on bikes, both girls, were overtaking a car while going over the speed bump. Why?

They were going too fast for me to get their licence plate numbers but they were only 50cc bikes.

If the young don’t care about themselves, that’s fine, but I am breakable and do care whether I live or die.
