Technology company Fireminds Ltd has appointed Yevgeniy Gerassimov as its chief technology officer.

Mr Gerassimov has 25 years of experience in the IT industry. He will lead Fireminds’ team “delivering solutions on server infrastructure, Storage Area Networks”, as well as networking, telephony, cloud solutions and data centres.

“Fireminds is a dynamic company, there are many exciting opportunities and the focus on customer service is exactly what Bermuda needs,” said Mr Gerassimov, who has lived in Bermuda for 15 years.

Fireminds, a Bermudian company employing 43 staff worldwide, has also appointed Jim Nairn as procurement manager. He will be based in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he will be responsible for sourcing the hardware and software demands to meet Fireminds client solutions.

Michael Branco, chief executive officer of Fireminds, said: “I am thrilled to welcome Yev and Jim to Fireminds. As a rapidly growing company, we are committed to meeting customer expectations.

“With Yev’s experience in the IT industry, he is a great addition to the Fireminds team. As procurement manager, Jim will allow us to meet our growing demand for IT solutions through the provision of the required hardware and software.”

Vicki Coelho, chairwoman of the company, said Fireminds has also expanded its board with independent directors to assist with strategy and governance.
