Woman banned for refusing breath test
A woman who refused to take a breath test has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for 18 months.
Greta Lightbourne, 37, admitted not taking the test when ordered to do so when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court heard that police saw Lightbourne, from Pembroke, in her car at the side of North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish, on August 1.
Lightbourne’s car was off, but the key was still in the ignition.
She declined to take a breath test several times and was taken to the Hamilton Police Station.
Lightbourne was emotional in court and apologised for her actions.
In addition to the ban, Lightbourne was fined $1,500.
