Bermuda Linens & Gifts took top honours as “best overall” in the St George’s Window Display Contest.

The annual event is backed by the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation, in collaboration with the St George’s Rotary and the Corporation of St George.

It was launched on November 25 during the Lighting of the Town event and the winners were announced this week.

Cathy Roberts, of Bermuda Linens and Gifts, said: “I love Christmas and enjoy decorating and participating in the contest. I am honoured to have won this year.”

Her store won the Rotary Trophy and $150 in cash.

BEDC officer Ray Lambert said: “BEDC is pleased to assist with this event. It’s a fun way to reward those businesses who do a great job decorating their stores, which helps to enhance the overall atmosphere and shopping experience of the town.”

Members of the St George’s Rotary enjoy judging this contest and work to support positive events in the East End, according to president Andrew Roberts.

Others prizes awarded included:

The People’s Choice — Surprise won the Mayor’s Trophy and $150 in cash.

Most Original: La Garza won $100 in cash.
