Runners given a splash of colour

Participants in a two-mile charity run became their own colourful canvas, as they set off from the Police Recreation Club on Saturday afternoon.
The “Colour Me Swan’s Fun Run & Walk” saw 400 entrants in all-white outfits pelted with bright powder as they completed the course.
Organised by the Swan’s Running Club and Positive Results Gym, the event raised money for seniors advocacy group Age Concern.
Race director Kim Burgess said that the run, inspired by a similar event in Miami, had left her “overwhelmed with excitement”.
“We pulled it off, it’s unbelievable,” she told The Royal Gazette the day afterwards.
