Non-profit school receives corporate support

Making a difference: Brendan Stones, Air Care’s general manager, Chris Crumpler Impact Mentoring Academy’s executive director, and James Leman, Air Care’s manager of business development and customer care

Impact Mentoring Academy has welcomed a new partnership with Hamilton-based facilities management firm Air Care.

As well as donating $1,000 to the non-profit middle school and high school, which aims to “empower young males”, Air Care will also offer summertime employment to one Impact student.

Brendan Stones, the company’s general manager, said: “We believe very strongly in supporting the overall development of Bermuda’s young people.

“This is the beginning of what we hope will be a productive and longer term partnership.”

Impact’s executive director, Chris Crumpler, said he was thankful for the assistance provided to the school, located at the old Berkeley Institute.

He added: “Without donations and other support like this from the corporate world, Impact couldn’t succeed in providing the quality of education and personal development that we do for our young men.”
