Local artists have the chance to help spruce up Hamilton once again — but can they match these successful contributions from last year?

The City of Hamilton will commission up to five artworks within its boundaries as part of the City Arts Festival in October.

People must submit their proposals by Wednesday next week, with organisers looking for permanent art displays that represent “the visual, musical and performance arts in a celebration of Bermuda’s art culture”.

Last year, local artists Kendra Earls and Dennis Joaquin, Chewstick Community Arts Foundation, Nick Harney and Tiago Garcia and Bermuda National Gallery were commissioned for their work.

Artists can download the RFP details at www.cityofhamilton.bm/media/media_links.php or e-mail tbradshaw@cityhall.bm for more information.
