Deadline for Queen’s Honours nominations

That time again: get your Queen’s Birthday Honours nominations in by November 4

Friday, November 4 marks the cut-off date to nominate a member of the community for the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

An advisory yesterday afternoon from Government House and the Cabinet Office reminded the public that the deadline was 5pm on that day.

In addition, 5pm on November 30 is the deadline for the Queen’s Certificate and Badge of Honour nominations for New Year 2017.

The awards recognise longstanding service or outstanding contributions to public life.

Where possible, nominations should be for those who are still active in their chosen activity, have recently retired, or who have had a recent notable achievement.

Honours are awarded twice a year, on New Year’s Day and in June to mark the Queen’s Birthday.

Both nomination forms can be downloaded from www.gov.bm/governor-bermuda, and completed forms should be sent to the Cabinet Office at Innovation House, 1st Floor, 46 Reid Street, Hamilton HM 12.
