Work on a fresh water line on Water Street continues this week and is expected to be completed before the end of November.

Candy-Lee Foggo, St George town manager, said that replacement work on a sewage line in the area had been completed.

However, she added that the conversion of the fresh water line and instillation of water meters is ongoing.

“It is anticipated that these works will be complete and the street reopened in time for the Lighting of the Town ceremony on November 26,” she said. “Please be advised that the works are progressing in preparation for the 2017 cruise ship season.”
