People’s Campaign to hold public meetings

The People’s Campaign for Equality, Jobs and Justice will be holding a series of public meetings next week.

Agenda items include the People’s Campaign — a movement inspired by Martin Luther King — a social and economic empowerment discussion and next steps for the organisation.

“The People’s Campaign is encouraging Bermudian families to come out to these public meeting so that they can engage in meaningful dialogue that will create value for all lives in Bermuda,” a flyer stated.

“If you agree that The People’s Campaign should continue to fight on against the oppressive system in Bermuda that creates social and economic injustices, please attend these community meetings.”

The first meeting will be held on Tuesday at Clearwater Middle School in St Davids at 6.30pm, with the second to be held at 6.30pm at Allen Temple AME Church in Somerset on Thursday. The third meeting will take place at St Paul Centennial Hall in Hamilton at 6pm on Saturday.
