One person was taken to hospital after a serious two-vehicle crash in Sandys early yesterday afternoon.

It happened in the Scaur Hill area at around 12.15pm.

“Details are limited at this time,” said a police spokesman.

According to police, preliminary information indicated the crash involved a motorcycle and a truck.

“The injured rider was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment — but currently the extent of his injuries is unknown,” said the spokesman. Information on his age was not immediately provided.
