PLP to launch activity week

The Sandys branches of the Bermuda Progressive Labour Party is hosting its Annual Week of Activities this month under the theme ‘Unity in the Community’.

The week begins on Sunday, March 26 with a church service at the First Church of God on Sound View Road.

On Thursday, March 30, there will be a screening of A Date With Destiny, a documentary and panel discussion on the PLP’s first victory in 1998 and will be held at Sandys Secondary School.

On Saturday, April 1, a community clean-up will be held, beginning at 9am. The location and other details will be announced later this week.

The event concludes with a $15 a plate cod fish breakfast at the Somerset Cricket Club on Sunday, April 2, starting at 8am.

Constituency 35 MP Dennis Lister said: “In what has become a tradition, Constituencies 33, 34, 35 and 36 have come together to offer a series of activities designed to bring the Sandys Community together in the spirit of unity.”
