Pair are promoted at Customs

Two long-serving employees with the Department of Customs have received senior promotions.

Richard Amos has been named as an Assistant Collector of Customs, while Melody Lightbourne has been appointed as a Principal Customs Officer.

Mr Amos joined Customs in 1989, and Ms Lightbourne in 1994.

Wayne Caines, Minister of National Security joined the Collector of Customs, Cindy Pearman, to congratulate the pair on their promotions during a recent visit to the Department of Customs headquarters.

During the visit, Mr Caines stressed his “great appreciation for the important work that Customs does in border protection and safeguarding Government revenues”.
