Fast food firm KFC today launched a cut price Hallowe’en voucher scheme to boost a children’s charity.

KFC is selling packets of five vouchers for $2 which are redeemable for up to $12.25 of food at the Queen Street, Hamilton restaurant with all proceeds going to Big Brothers Big Sisters Bermuda.

It is the third annual fundraiser of its type, with the Bermuda Red Cross the target charity for the first two years.

Ginene McSwain, general manager of KFC, said: “The process is simple and everyone always enjoys it — its successful track record proves it.

“In the past, we raised money for Bermuda Red Cross, but this year we selected Big Brothers Big Sisters as the donation recipient.”

She added: “We encourage everyone to stop by and get their voucher today since there is only a limited quantity available.”

The fundraiser is open to youngsters aged 12 or under and each voucher can be redeemed for an order of fries, an apple turnover or a chocolate chip cookie.

The vouchers are valid from Wednesday, November 1 until Wednesday, January 31 next year and are available at KFC while stocks last.

Patrina O’Connor-Paynter, managing director at Big Brothers Big Sisters, said: “We all know how exciting this time of year is for young children and to be included in an initiative that will help benefit the members of our organisation is a wonderful opportunity.”
