Local artists are to get the chance to showcase their talents to international music industry professionals.

A handful of local artists have been selected to perform in front of Shanti Das, the founder of the Hip Hop Professional Foundation, Anthony Blakey, songwriter for Sony, award-winning artists Anthony Hamilton and Keri Hilson, and Blac Elvis, a Grammy Award-winning American record producer.

The leading industry figures will also give advice and guidance on career progression at the event, which has been organised by Savvy Entertainment and is open to the public.

Mr Blakey, chief executive of Savvy Entertainment said: “We are ecstatic to bring Savvy Sessions to Bermuda. We truly believe that Bermuda has a number of undiscovered talents and are elated to be able to provide a platform for them to showcase their skills.”

Mr Elvis added: “I’m excited about participating at Savvy Sessions this week.

I look forward to discussing every facet of the music business with the participants, and we’re going to have a blast.”

Savvy Sessions will be held on Friday at the Earl Cameron Theatre at Hamilton’s City Hall from 6pm to 8pm.
