The Women’s Resource Centre is to raise funds from a tag day at gas stations this weekend.

The charity is to run a “Fuelling for Cause” event at Rubis service stations on Saturday.

The move came as the centre plans to focus on gender equality and equity, participation in the labour market and leadership positions, domestic and sexual abuse and self-esteem.

Community groups who support the charity include anti-child sex abuse group Scars, The Centre Against Abuse, ADR Services, UnderKonstruction, Women who Own and Manage Businesses, Ultimate Imaging, The Women’s Action Group, and Government’s department of child and family services.

Tags will be available between 8am and 6pm at Rubis across the island.
