A blind wine-tasting event will be held this month to support Family Centre.

A spokeswoman for the Family Centre said that special events like the tasting were “critical” to allow the charity to continue providing programmes and services. Karen Plianthos, of Bermuda Wine Concierge, will be the event MC and will also auction off a number of high-end wine-related items.

The event will include wines selected by Burrows Lightbourn, Two Rock Wine Company and Gosling’s, which are sponsors of the event.

Other sponsors include The Argo Foundation and Price Lowenstein.

Guests will be provided with scorecards to test their wine knowledge by guessing the country, variety, vintage and price point of each sample with a prize for the highest score. Hors d’oeuvres will also be provided.

The event will be held at the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo on Friday, April 27, starting at 6.30pm.
