Erica Hawley will make her debut in the elite women's field of a World Triathlon Series event on Friday when she tackles ITU Triathlon Edmonton

The Royal Gazette is excited to bring you live streaming of the World Triathlon Series race in Edmonton, Canada, this weekend.Bermuda's Flora Duffy may be missing from the elite women's race because of a recurring foot injury but there still is plenty of interest in the series, especially after the breakthrough victory of Cassandre Beaugrande in Hamburg, Germany, two weeks ago.The young Frenchwoman, though, is not in the field for Friday's race, which starts at 8.36pm Bermuda time. However, there will be much to see, with American Katie Zaferes determined to extend her series lead.As a further treat for local fans, Erica Hawley will be in the field having been given an invite on the back of some impressive performances. Keep a special eye out for her — and the ubiquitous Bermuda flag.The elite men's race, over the sprint distance of 750 metres swim, 20 kilometres bike and 5km run, will start at 10.21pm Bermuda time.World Triathlon Edmonton continues on Saturday, when Bermuda's Erica Hawley will be in action.
