BIU in drive to help Bahamas
The Bermuda Industrial Union has launched a fundraising drive to help those impacted by Hurricane Dorian.
A spokeswoman for the union said that the theme of the campaign is “Helping to put lives back together”.
She added: “It is our hope that funds raised will indeed help to put lives back together in the Bahamas.”
An account for donations has been set up at the Bermuda Credit Union Co-op Society.
The spokeswoman encouraged all to contribute.
She said: “We are imploring our members to make deposits to this account — no matter how big or small.”
The account number is 9693.
