The Lions Clubs of Bermuda showed their traditional festive spirit as they launched a campaign to collect food hampers for needy families.

The Christmas Spirit programme was kicked off for the 31st year at MarketPlace on Church Street, Hamilton, yesterday.

Under the scheme, customers buy or bring tins of non-perishable food, which goes on display at MarketPlace stores across the island before being assembled into food hampers by the Lions Clubs.
