Fundraiser for Hamilton Lions Club

A major fundraiser for charity is to be held today for the 51st year.The Hamilton Lions Club Gasorama, which has raised more than $1 million over the years for a variety of good causes, will this year benefit charity for the blind Vision Bermuda and the Bermuda Diabetes Association.Lions members and volunteers will pump gas at Terceira’s gas station on North Shore Road in Smith’s for a percentage of the days earnings.Fuel firm Rubis, which supplies the station, will also make a donation and extra cash will be raised from tips from people filling up and raffle ticket sales.The event will run from 7am to 6pm.The raffle draw will be held at 6pm, with prizes including travel vouchers, brunches and dinners. Raffle tickets are $5.
