Primary school open houses next week


Public primary schools will open their doors to parents of prospective pupils next week.

The events, hosted by the Department of Education, will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

A spokeswoman for the Ministry of Education said: “Parents are encouraged to attend to gain first-hand information about out primary schools, and understand the value in the public education system.”

The dates and times are:

• Dalton E Tucker — February 18, 9am to 12pm

• East End — February 19, 8.30am to 3.30pm

• Elliot — February 17, 18 and 19, 9am to 1pm

• Francis Patton — February 19, 9am to 12pm

• Gilbert Institute — February 18, 10am to 11am

• Heron Bay — February 19, 9am to 9.30am. Opening Presentation, 9.30am to 12pm

• Harrington Sound — February 17, 18 and 19, 9.30am to 11am

• Northlands — February 19, 9am to 3pm

• Paget — February 19, 9am to 12pm

• Port Royal — February 19, 9am to 12pm

• Prospect — February 18, 9.30am to 12pm

• Purvis — February 17, 9am to 12pm

• Somerset — February 19, 9am to 3pm

• St David’s — February 17, Open House and Assembly 8.45am to 9.30am, February 18 and 19, 9.30am to 12pm

• St George’s Preparatory — February 18, 9am to 12pm

• Victor Scott — February 18, 9.30am to 12pm

• West End — February 18 and 19, 8.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 2.30pm

• West Pembroke — February 18, 9am to 10.30am, February 19, 1.30pm to 3pm
